Hunton Bridge. An idyllic waterside location
The hamlet of Hunton Bridge is a secret well worth discovering. As part of the larger village of Kings Langley, it has a quiet location at the confluence of the pretty River Gade and the Grand Union Canal, which drifts peacefully past the development.
There's a unique charm about Hunton Bridge village. As a Conservation Area, much effort has been spent on preserving its heritage, which includes canalside cottages, mill houses, a flint-faced church and Hunton Park, an elegant Queen Anne mansion.
Quaint and picturesque it may be, but Hunton Bridge isn't far from the essentials of the modern world. Kings Langley High Street offers just about everything you need in the way of shops and services, as well as restaurants, cafés and plenty of pubs. The village is strong on community spirit too, with clubs and societies such as drama groups and the Women's Institute, which runs a weekly country market. Local schools are plentiful: within three miles of the development are six primary and ten secondary schools.
The nearest major centres close to Kings Langley include Watford, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans, each offering its own combination of shopping, leisure, arts and business facilities.
