Waterside Living at an Affordable Price - Come along to the OPEN DAY.

Assettrust Housing is about to unveil its newest apartments and townhouses at Worcester’s most prestigious development, The Waterside.
Built on the site of the former Royal Worcester pottery factory, The Waterside is a mix of new homes blended seamlessly with converted warehouse apartments, many of which overlook the canal and all of which are just a short stroll from Worcester’s historic city centre.
Built by Berkeley Homes, the one and 2 bedroom apartments, and 3 and 4 bedroom townhouses are of an exceptionally high quality reflecting the standards on which the developer has quite rightly earned its reputation. All are surrounded by landscaped communal areas and each home has an allocated parking space.
Furthermore all the properties are for sale under a shared ownership scheme which makes them very affordable. Shared ownership was introduced in the 1990s and backed by the

Government as a practical solution to helping people access the property market.
As David Orchin Sales Director of Assettrust explains, “House prices have doubled over the last decade, and despite the fact that the market has slowed, the gap between what people earn and can afford to buy, still remains some considerable distance apart.”
Shared ownership provides the perfect solution for those unwilling to compromise on either location or quality. The way that it works is simple. Purchasers buy a share – typically anything from 25% to 75% in a property and pay rent on the balance together with a small service charge. So at The Waterside prices start at £129,950 for a one bedroom apartment. A 25% share, plus rent and service charge means that monthly outgoings amount to £588 as opposed to £920 if the property were bought outright. After their first year of ownership, purchasers can, if they choose, increase the share they own.
On Saturday 7th March, Assetttrust Housing is holding an open day for prospective buyers to view their newest apartments and townhouses. Drinks will be served in the marketing suite at 53 Albion Mill, Canal Quarter, Portland Street, Worcester between 10.00 am – 5.00 pm and short presentations on shared ownership will take place at 12.00 pm and 2.00 pm.
